Inspiration
Angels, speak to most of us, as an icon of comfort and protection, and it is why I design and create them, and love to have them around me. Drawing on my historic decorative arts background, my angels are painted and gilded in metal leaf.
I have always been passionate about nature, and the ephemeral beauty of butterflies, dragonflies, and flowers, these are subjects that are endlessly open to interpretation. After applying relief to my panel, I paint using acrylic paints and iridescent media .

MEdia & Technique
Over the years, I have developed a unique linear style, and way of interpreting my subject by using relief. Drawing upon historic recipes which I have altered and adapted, I create figurative relief panels of subjects that resonate with me. I work on panel as opposed to canvas, to provide a stable substrate on which to lay the relief.
